Mr Adamu was born in March 1964. He attended Township Primary School, Jos, from 1969 to 1970, and proceeded to Shehu Garbai Primary School from 1970 to 1977.
He went to GSS Potiskum, from 1977 to 1980. Then attended Yelwa Secondary School, Maiduguri, from 1980 to 1982.
He proceeded to the University of Maiduguri from 1982 to 1985 and then to Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, from 1986 to 1988.
He joined the Nigeria Customs Service from 1990 to 1992. And later ventured into family business in 1992 to date. He is married with children.
